About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist for a 24-day locum tenens assignment in Massachusetts, starting August 1, 2025. This flexible role involves providing remote and occasional in-person support to a Mental Health facility's clinical stabilization service unit. The psychiatrist will collaborate with NPs, LPNs, and RNs, offering up to 10 hours of consultation per week, primarily for intakes between 12 PM and 8 PM. Responsibilities include medication management, documentation review, and attending weekly team meetings. The position requires 1-2 in-person visits monthly, with the remainder of work conducted via telemedicine. Proficiency with Evolve EMR is necessary. This opportunity offers potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide psychiatric consultation and support for the clinical stabilization service unit 

• Collaborate with NPs, LPNs, and RNs on patient care and medication management 

• Review and approve medication logs and documentation 

• Conduct patient intakes, primarily between 12 PM and 8 PM 

• Attend weekly team meetings (currently held on Tuesdays) 

• Perform 1-2 in-person visits monthly for direct patient care 

• Offer telemedicine consultations as needed 

• Ensure proper documentation using Evolve EMR system 

• Stay current with best practices in psychiatric care and medication management 

• Provide clinical guidance and support to the nursing staff


Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed as a Psychiatrist in Massachusetts 

• Experience in clinical stabilization and acute psychiatric care required 

• Proficiency with Evolve EMR system preferred 

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment 

• Flexibility to provide both in-person and telemedicine services 

• Comfort with managing complex psychiatric cases and medication regimens
