Description

About Us

At Apex Concierge Services Inc., we deliver five-star hospitality in luxury residential environments. As a trusted service partner throughout Boston, we provide elevated front desk and lifestyle management services built on professionalism, trust, and excellence. We are currently seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Seasonal Pool Attendant to support operations at Ora Seaport Residences in Boston, MA.

This is not a lifeguard position — no CPR certification or lifeguard experience required. We’re looking for someone who takes their work seriously, represents our brand with pride, and creates a safe and welcoming pool environment for residents every single day.

What You’ll Do

As the Pool Attendant, you are the face of the community during pool hours. You’ll maintain Apex service standards while managing access, monitoring facilities, and ensuring a smooth, professional experience for residents from open to close.

Pool Access & Guest Management

  • Verify and admit only approved residents and guests in accordance with community access policies
  • Enforce pool rules and community standards with professionalism and consistency
  • Manage pool capacity during peak hours and communicate flow expectations to residents
  • Maintain a daily visitor log and document incidents, observations, and any concerns
  • Report hazards, maintenance issues, or policy violations to Apex management immediately

Facility Standards

  • Ensure the pool deck, lounge furniture, restrooms, and common areas remain clean and guest-ready throughout every shift
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs and flag safety or maintenance concerns to building staff
  • Open and close the pool area following established procedures, including equipment checks and signage
  • Restock and organize pool amenities as needed

Concierge Operations & Emergency Response

  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for residents — you are expected to understand how the property operates, not just the pool
  • Complete Apex concierge operations training and apply those standards to every resident interaction
  • On days of anticipated severe weather, report to and assist in the Package Room until the on-site lifeguard team determines whether it is safe to open or maintain pool operations
  • Follow all Apex and Ora protocols for pool closure, resident communication, and emergency escalation
  • Complete all required shift and incident reports accurately and on time
  • Support front desk and package room staff as operationally needed

Why Join Us?

  • $18.00–$21.00/hr — competitive, above-market pay for a seasonal role
  • Paid training in luxury concierge operations — real, transferable skills
  • Work at one of Boston’s most distinguished residential communities
  • Supportive leadership and a team culture built on accountability and professionalism
  • A summer role that builds a rĂ©sumĂ©, not just fills a season

Requirements

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent outdoor shift availability (10-hour shifts; standing up to 4 hours at a time)
  • Professional communication skills with residents and management
  • Calm under pressure, solution-focused, and accountable
  • No prior concierge or pool experience required — we will train the right person
  • CPR certification and lifeguard experience are NOT required for this role
  • This role requires standing outdoors in summer conditions for the entirety of the shift.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior customer service, hospitality, or front desk experience
  • Familiarity with Boston neighborhoods and residential community environments
  • Experience with shift logs, access control systems, or property management software
  • High personal standards of professionalism and attention to detail
