Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) has an exciting career opportunity for a Configuration Analyst – Level 2 or 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located on-site in Boulder, CO.  Boulder is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and only 25 miles from downtown Denver.

Position Overview:

As a Configuration Analyst (level 2 or level 3), you will be part of the team that focuses on providing tools, processes and subject matter expertise for configuration and data management activities across our program, suppliers, and partners. CM analysts are key program drivers managing product configuration baselines (Functional, Allocated and Product) and releases. This position supports data management activities and will require working onsite full-time in a closed-area work environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and processes for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Trouble Reports (TRs), Drawing Revision Notices (DRNs).
  • Process Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variances (RFVs).
  • Assist with delivering Certification Data Packages for test events and engage with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Prepare and maintain configuration management plans and procedures, and support process audits.
  • Capture product baselines; conduct configuration status accounting and audits.
  • Develop and release media, ensure proper marking, and perform data integrity checks.
  • Serve as an advocate for the program; coordinate and deliver Contract / Supplier Delivery Requirements Lists (CDRLs/SDRLs) to meet contractual requirements.
  • Conduct document / peer reviews of unclassified and classified internal and deliverable material.
  • Assist with the cataloging and retention of government furnished information and software (GFI/GFS).
  • Support Agile program increment (PI) planning sessions and Scrum team activities to drive successful outcomes.
  • Develop solutions for complex issues independently.
  • Generate CM metrics as needed.
  • Assist in implementing innovative concepts to streamline processes, maintain quality, and boost efficiency.

This requisition may be filled at a Configuration Analyst – Level 2 or a Principal Configuration Analyst - Level 3.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Configuration Analyst – Level 2: Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM); or a Master’s Degree plus 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Principal Configuration Analyst – Level 3: Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM); or a Master’s Degree plus 3 years of relevant experience; or a PhD. and 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope US Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start work.
  • Applicants must be able to work onsite and in-person within a closed-area work environment full-time.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs. 
  • Experience understanding and translating contractual requirements into program planning activities
  • Experience using configuration and data management tools
  • Experience managing customer deliverables (CDRLs) and supplier deliverables (SDRLs)
  • Experience working configuration management in a highly regulated industry
  • Experience performing and analyzing data integrity scans
  • Experience conducting product peer reviews
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business/project management, computer information systems, or sciences & analytics preferred
  • Engagement in 1-2 professional engineering or project management organizations
  • Experience with Agile Program Management
  • Experience using Confluence and Jira
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools
  • Experience applying the CM/DM Standard of ANSI/EIA-649
  • Experience supporting and presenting at program reviews

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
