We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join our Energy Providers West Market Team to support energy, sustainability, and infrastructure engagements. We partner with our clients to design and deliver transformational programs, evaluate and optimize program contributions towards climate, energy, and other goals, and continuously improve our client’s experience.

What You Will Do:

As Delivery Manager you will function as a technical project manager for a diverse portfolio of energy projects, you would work directly with our Arizona Account Director to serve energy clients in Arizona and the Southwest.  You would be joining a team that is passionate about delivering programs and innovation to solve our client's most pressing problems. The Delivery Manager role requires an initiative-taking, driven professional with strong business acumen, a proven track record of success in leading project and program delivery teams, professional services experience, a solid understanding of utility business operations, and passion for execution and delivery excellence.

As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for managing teams that deliver strategic advisory, engineering studies, financial management, compliance and monitoring, technology transformation, data analytics, and risk management consulting engagements, with a primary focus on decarbonization, sustainability, electrification, grid transformation and energy transition for electric and gas utilities. In addition, you will work with client stakeholders to assess project performance, identify and manage risks and issues, keeping clients informed and proactively managing expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and mentoring project teams and coordinating projects and workstreams

  • Managing, monitoring and evaluating project activities and evaluating overall project(s) performance

  • Contributing to project planning, budgeting, and overall strategy

  • Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining project documentation and reports

  • Maintaining project contracts and financials

  • Establishing and reporting on key performance indicators

  • Analyzing project data and producing insights to optimize performance

  • Identifying problems and shortfalls and proposing solutions

  • Providing operational support such as liaising with stakeholders, tracking timelines, etc.

  • Support the development and rollout of our project management methodology, being a coach and change agent to encourage adoption

  • Coordinating with client account and project teams to develop innovate solutions to address client priorities and needs

  • Supporting growth and client satisfaction within client account teams

What You Will Need:

  • Due to nature of client engagements, must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident

  • Managing Consultant - Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, public policy and/or related discipline AND FIVE (5+) plus years’ post-graduation project management experience in the energy/utilities sector

  • Associate Director - Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, public policy and/or related discipline AND SEVEN (7+) plus years’ post-graduation project management experience in the energy sector

  • Knowledgeable in all phases of the project management life cycle

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with stakeholder and financial management

  • Excellent at visualizing project and program data, synthesizing insights, and making data informed decisions

  • Ability to assume ownership of significant portions of tasks while collaborating with a close-knit team

  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines

  • Demonstrated attention to detail

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • An inquisitive nature and desire for continuous improvement

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with high degree of self-confidence and determination

  • Ability to travel as needed (~10% travel annually)

  • Ability to work onsite at Client Office location


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Preference will be given to candidates within 50 miles of Client Office location

  • Master's degree in electrical or power systems engineering, business administration, or related discipline

  • PMP Certification

  • Post-graduation experience with project management and operations in the energy/utilities sector that includes capital projects and large engineering projects

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite products (Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint)

  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to clients or executive audiences

The annual salary range for this position is $92,000.00-$153,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
