What you will do: Ā 

Electra isĀ seekingĀ a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reliability and TestĀ EngineerĀ toĀ leadĀ reliability testing, failure analysis, and performance validation of advanced materials and systems. This role is critical to ensuring product durability, safety, and performance across development and production environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technicalĀ expertiseĀ in reliability engineering, hands-on testing experience, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.Ā 

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and execute reliability test plans for materials, components, and systems under various environmental and operational conditionsĀ 
  • Develop and implement accelerated life testing protocols and failure mode analysis (FMEA)Ā 
  • Analyze test data toĀ identifyĀ trends, failure mechanisms, and improvement opportunitiesĀ 
  • Collaborate with R&D, process engineering, and quality teams to integrate reliability insights into product developmentĀ 
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standardsĀ 
  • Document test procedures, results, and recommendations in technical reportsĀ 
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective action planning for reliability-related issuesĀ 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and reliability program developmentĀ 
  • Present findings to internal stakeholders and support customer-facing technical discussionsĀ 

What we need you to bring to the team:Ā  Ā 

Ā 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in reliability engineering, testing, product validation, or materials characterization within industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Deep understanding of reliability principles, failure mechanisms, and statistical analysis methodologies
  • High proficiency in test design, data acquisition, and analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, LabVIEW), with experience applying environmental testing standards (ASTM, IEC, MIL-STD)
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex, ambiguous projects, exercising sound judgment in selecting and adapting advanced methods to meet technical and business objectives
  • Provides technical and functional leadership through mentorship and cross-functional collaboration, guiding teams on complex quality, reliability, and supplier-related challenges
  • Experience managing laboratory operations, including ISO 17025 compliance, supporting both R&D and production needs
  • Strong communicator who bridges R&D and manufacturing by translating design intent into scalable, compliant manufacturing and supplier quality processes

Compensation:Ā  Ā 

  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $100,000-$140,000 and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. Ā
