Job Title: Special Education Teacher Multi-Needs Program
Location: Bourbonnais, IL 60914
Grades: K3
Pay Rate: $40.00-$45.00

Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Special Education Teacher to join our multi-needs program in Bourbonnais, IL. This program is designed to support students with severe/profound disabilities in grades K3. Each classroom serves up to 6 students, with the support of 34 dedicated paraprofessionals to ensure individualized instruction and care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and individualized learning plans for students with significant needs.

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each students abilities and goals.

• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to create a supportive learning environment.

• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and adaptive technologies to foster student growth.

• Support students with a range of eligibilities, including Autism, Intellectual Disability, and Developmental Delay.

• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence and engagement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education (Masters preferred).

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required.

• Experience working with students who have severe/profound disabilities strongly preferred.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students reach their fullest potential.
