- Successfully lead and manage a business development team consisting of, but not limited to, Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Loan Portfolio Specialists.
- Ensures proper staffing for the assigned region; staffing levels that reflect efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness.
- Works with management to develop annual sales goals.
- Assess and report to management market conditions and activity in the respective market area.
- Work with management of other lines of business to develop and execute targeted business development initiatives that are in line with the bank strategic plan.
- Handles inquiries and/or client issues related to the assigned region that are of more than a routine nature.
- Review nCino reports on a regular basis to ensure the team is conducting the appropriate level of activities to achieve target goals.
- Coordinates regularly scheduled meetings with the team, to include other lines of business within the bank.
- May participate in direct customer meetings to increase the opportunities to retain or enhance relationships.
- This role is expected to actively participate in community events and maintain a membership(s) in local, non-profit organizations (preferably in an executive/board role)..
- Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g., Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, SAFE Act, etc.; ensures that the office and all personnel adhere to the same.
- Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Business, Accounting, or Finance. Master of Business Administration preferred.
- Ten years of commercial banking experience with a minimum of five years related to commercial credit review or commercial credit experience.
- Direct lending and lending/sales management experience ideal.
- Experience with Consumer Lending is ideal as well.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
