Responsibilities:
- setting up and operating machine tools like lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to produce precision parts.Â
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications, select appropriate tools and parameters, and monitor machine operation to ensure quality and productivity.Â
- Quality control is performed by using precision measuring tools.Â
- Routine maintenance and minor repairs are also part of the role.Â
- Document processes and production data, maintain a clean and safe work area, and collaborate with engineers to optimize manufacturing.Â
- Troubleshoot production issues.
- Demonstrate the ability to run master’s and/or run rabbits
- Reset errors and perform machine offsets
Requirements:
- high school diploma or equivalent, with formal training in machining being preferred.Â
Qualifications:
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
- Relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is important, and proficiency in operating various machine tools, including CNC machines
- Interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Computer skills
- A basic understanding of machining principles, the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to problem-solve and communication skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety regulations.Â
Desirable:
- Demonstrate correct gaging techniques and perform all quality verifications within the cell/line to the required standard.Â
- Demonstrate the ability to replace tool bars.
- Demonstrate the ability to change filters.Â
- Demonstrate the ability to restart equipment after power down.
- Demonstrate the ability to change tool bars.
- Demonstrate the ability to program tool offsets.
