EnSafe is accepting applications for an Environmental Technician based out of EnSafe’ s Bowling Green, Kentucky, office.

As an Environmental Technician, you will work on projects ranging from site investigations to regulatory compliance tasks, sampling of environmental or health and safety media, site inspection and documentation, and operation & maintenance of remedial equipment. This position offers a wide range of projects in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will:

  • Conduct sampling of various media (e.g., soil, groundwater, indoor air, soil gas, stormwater) and operation & maintenance of equipment (e.g., remedial, sampling, and testing).
  • Conduct facility inspections using established protocols and tools, and maintain accurate, thorough documentation.
  • Independently track and schedule recurring sampling and inspection activities, including coordination with EnSafe project managers in various disciplines (e.g., environmental, health & safety, industrial hygiene).

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • High school diploma required
  • Clean driving record
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical or industrial field
  • Ability to travel regionally, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Ability to work in the field.
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

Preferred Skills:

  • Environmental sampling and/or inspection experience 
  • HAZWOPER training and certification
