Overview:

This is a mid-level position for the exhaust R&D team supporting design and fabrication of a range of automotive components such as cat-back exhaust systems, mufflers, headers, X-pipes, and related assemblies.

This role collaborates closely with engineers, designers, and drafting personnel during development of new and prototype components, assemblies, and systems.

Key responsibilities include hands-on prototype fabrication, conducting validation testing, data collection, and report preparation to ensure products meet or exceed design specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

· Fabrication and welding of components and assemblies for testing

· Manufacturing fixture design, fabrication, and welding

· Setup and operation of chassis dyno to evaluate/validate product design

· Collection of detailed and accurate notes of the design process to ensure proper documentation is completed such as application or fitment information, bend data sheets, dimensional data, durability test results, installation images, and similar

· Maintain a clean and tidy work environment

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude


Qualifications Required:

· High school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years’ work experience in related trade

· Computer skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office suite programs

· Must possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to drive a manual transmission car a plus

· Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction and division, and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios in practical situations.

· Proficiency in using measurement tools such as tape measure, protractor, calipers, and micrometer

· Familiarity with automotive exhaust systems

· Intermediate level MIG welding skills required. TIG welding skills desirable

· Experience with machining is desirable
