What You'll Do
As a Production Operator on our Fire Protection Fill team, you'll play a critical role in preparing and filling fire protection agents into cylinders and bulk storage tanks while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
- Transfer compressed gases into finished cylinders and containers
- Operate the cylinder tracking and inventory management system
- Safely operate production equipment, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, forklifts, and overhead hoists
- Monitor equipment performance and perform basic troubleshooting, setup, calibration, and product testing
- Inspect cylinders and equipment to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Utilize valves, hoses, scales, hand tools, gauges, and other production equipment
- Support overall production goals and assist with additional duties as needed
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in manufacturing, production, process operations, or industrial environments preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
- Ability to learn technical processes, gas handling procedures, and specialty equipment
- Basic computer skills
- EPA 608 Certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire
- Forklift, clamp truck, or overhead crane experience preferred, or willingness to become certified within 60 days
