Occupational Therapist (OT)

Neulife Rehabilitation of Kentucky is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

The Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services designed to help individuals improve their independence, functional abilities, and quality of life. The successful candidate will evaluate each client's needs, develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with clients, families, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess clients' functional abilities, strengths, limitations, and treatment needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, client goals, and applicable standards of practice.
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions and therapeutic activities to improve functional performance, independence, mobility, and activities of daily living.
  • Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, direct-care staff, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated care.
  • Educate clients, families, and caregivers regarding therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, safety, and strategies to promote independence.
  • Follow all applicable federal, state, and organizational requirements governing the provision and documentation of occupational therapy services.
  • Maintain professional standards, ethical conduct, patient confidentiality, and quality-of-care expectations.
  • Participate in care planning, interdisciplinary meetings, and other activities necessary to support positive client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Kentucky Occupational Therapist (OT) license, or eligibility for Kentucky licensure.
  • Graduate of an occupational therapy educational program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or an equivalent accrediting body, consistent with Kentucky licensure requirements.
  • Successful completion of the required supervised occupational therapy fieldwork.
  • Successful completion of the examination required for Kentucky OT licensure, including the NBCOT certification examination as approved by the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Occupational Therapy.
  • Must meet all applicable Kentucky Board of Licensure for Occupational Therapy requirements to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Kentucky.
  • Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Previous rehabilitation, long-term care, behavioral health, developmental services, or related healthcare experience preferred.
