Key Responsibilities: Conducting health screenings Administration of medications via various methods; performance of procedures Per Physician/Provider orders Providing basic first aid; must maintain CPR certification Ability to follow written Physician/Provider orders Assuring medical equipment is properly maintained and remains in functional Working condition Communication between GGC Administration, School System Faculty/Administration, students and parents Compliance with policies and procedures; health and safety regulations at all times Accurate medical record documentation Participates in mandatory training sessions Various other duties as necessary or assigned QualificationsQualifications: Previous pediatric, school nurse, and public health experience highly preferred Medical office experience required Familiar with medical record documentation and ability to generate and maintain precise and accurate records Reliable transportation if needed for floating to other schools or offices Must have ability to function in an organized manner within a fast-paced environment Ability to respond appropriately and efficiently to emergent situations Education: High School diploma or GED required Current/ active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse Kentucky licensure Company Conformance Statements: In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following: Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
