Now, we're seeking Full-Time Code Enforcement Officers in the Bowman, SC area to help ensure safe, vibrant, and thriving communities.Â
What you'll do
- Patrol assigned areas with the team and monitor vendor activity for compliance with city/county codes.
- Educate vendors on permit requirements and applicable regulations.
- Issue warnings, notices of violation, and citations as appropriate.
- Respond to community complaints regarding vendor activity in a professional manner.
- Document inspections and enforcement actions, including reports and photos.Â
- Collaborate with teammates, local law enforcement, health departments, and city officials as needed.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in Code Enforcement or Law Enforcement.Â
- Certification as a Code Enforcement Officer (or ability to obtain).
- PC 832 (or equivalent law enforcement certification).Â
- Strong communication skills (oral & written).
- Ability to work in the field and interact with the public.
