Now, we're seeking Full-Time Code Enforcement Officers in the Bowman, SC area to help ensure safe, vibrant, and thriving communities. 

What you'll do

  • Patrol assigned areas with the team and monitor vendor activity for compliance with city/county codes.
  • Educate vendors on permit requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Issue warnings, notices of violation, and citations as appropriate.
  • Respond to community complaints regarding vendor activity in a professional manner.
  • Document inspections and enforcement actions, including reports and photos. 
  • Collaborate with teammates, local law enforcement, health departments, and city officials as needed.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in Code Enforcement or Law Enforcement. 
  • Certification as a Code Enforcement Officer (or ability to obtain).
  • PC 832 (or equivalent law enforcement certification). 
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written).
  • Ability to work in the field and interact with the public.
