THE ROLEÂ
AMD is seeking an experienced Analog Circuit Design Engineer to design and deliver highperformance Low-Dropout (LDO) voltage regulators and power management circuits for next-generation CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs. In this role, you will contribute to cutting-edge semiconductor products by developing robust, lowpower, and scalable analog designs that meet aggressive performance, reliability, and silicon quality targets.Â
Â
THE PERSONÂ
You are a technically strong analog designer with a passion for precision, innovation, and silicon-quality execution. You enjoy solving complex power integrity challenges and are comfortable working across architecture, design, layout, validation, and silicon debug. You collaborate well in crossfunctional environments and take pride in driving designs from concept through production.Â
Â
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Design and develop LDO regulators and analog power management circuits for high-performance SoCs and chipletsÂ
Perform transistor-level circuit design, analysis, and optimization for stability, PSRR, noise, transient response, and efficiencyÂ
Define circuit architectures and compensation strategies across wide PVT cornersÂ
Run extensive pre- and post-layout simulations, including parasitic-aware signoffÂ
Partner with physical design teams to ensure layout robustness and performance fidelityÂ
Support silicon bring-up, debug, and characterization activities in the labÂ
Work closely with system, platform, and reliability teams to ensure compliance with product specificationsÂ
Document design methodologies, tradeoffs, and validation resultsÂ
Â
PREFERRED EXPERIENCEÂ
Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit designÂ
Proven experience designing LDOs including bandgap references, error amplifiers, pass devices, and protection circuitsÂ
Solid understanding of power integrity, stability analysis, and compensation techniquesÂ
Experience with low-noise, low-power, and high-current regulator designÂ
Familiarity with CMOS process technologies and analog layout best practicesÂ
Proficiency with SPICE-based simulation tools and modern EDA flowsÂ
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldÂ
Prior experience delivering circuits into production silicon is highly desirableÂ
Â
