Qualcomm Graphics Software Engineers architect, design, implement, verify, and optimize the structure and performance of GPU hardware, drivers, features, applications, and tools. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer needs. Â
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.• Knowledge of one or more programming language suitable for graphics (e.g., C++, C).
Preferred Qualifications:
•  Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
•  1+ year of relevant GPU experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Applies Graphics knowledge to assist in the architect, design, implementation, and verification of the structure and performance of GPU hardware, drivers, features, applications, and tools.
•  Writes code for well-defined features, drivers, and APIs using different languages (e.g., C, C++, perl, python).
•  Maintains comprehensive pre- and post-silicon tests using tools and methods for a specific, well-defined component to verify performance.
•  Assists in identifying deficiencies in designs and works with team members to develop solutions to improve designs.
•  Collaborates with team members to understand new features and functionality that align with needs and goals for implementation and customization.
•  Writes detailed design documentation and feature descriptions for projects.
Level of Responsibility:
•   Works under supervision.
•   Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.
•   Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.
•   Tasks consist of a limited number of steps and can be referenced using directions or manuals

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$98,900.00 - $148,300.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus). In addition, our highly competitive benefits package is designed to support your success at work, at home, and at play.
