About the Role:

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of welding processes and terminology.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and instructions carefully.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a welder assistant or in a construction-related role.
- Familiarity with welding equipment and tools.
- AWS Certification (s) and/or Qualification (s)
- Basic certification in welding safety or OSHA 10-hour construction safety training.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to pursue further welding training or certification.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize welding materials and tools for daily tasks.
- Assist welders by holding materials in place and ensuring proper alignment during welding operations.
- Maintain and clean welding equipment and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support welders in basic welding tasks under direct supervision when required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
Skills:
The required skills such as understanding welding processes and safety protocols are applied daily to ensure that all preparatory and support tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Physical stamina and manual dexterity are essential for handling materials and assisting welders during operations.
