Position OverviewÂ
The Front Desk Staff plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and positive first impression for members and guests. This position is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting with membership inquiries and program registrations, and supporting daily front desk operations. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and service-oriented, with a strong commitment to providing an exceptional member experience and upholding the YMCA mission and values.Â
What You’ll Do: Â
- Greet members and guests with a positive and professional attitudeÂ
- Process new memberships, renewals, and program registrationsÂ
- Answer questions about programs, policies, and facility usageÂ
- Promote and sell YMCA programs, events, and servicesÂ
- Maintain accurate records and handle daily transactionsÂ
- Support daily operations and ensure policies are followedÂ
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve concerns appropriatelyÂ
- Attend all required staff meetings and trainings, including abuse risk management and youth safety training

Requirements
What We’re Looking For: Â
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role requiredÂ
- Basic to intermediate computer proficiency requiredÂ
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and establish credibility with members and guestsÂ
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work efficiently and productively in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
