As an HR GENERALIST at Williams, you will be an integral part of the Human Resources team and play a crucial role in the daily human resources functions. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR processes in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting skilled trades or construction-related businesses is strongly preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and employee paperwork
  • Assist with recruitment
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Administer benefits and leave requests
  • Assist managers with employee relations, coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance management
  • Help develop and maintain company policies, employee handbook updates, and HR procedures
  • Assist with tracking licenses, certifications, and training requirements for field staff
  • Handle unemployment claims, HR reporting, and audits as needed
  • Foster a professional, accountable, team-oriented workplace culture

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 3+ years of HR Generalist experience required
  • HR experience in construction preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
