After an extensive remodel, The Bay Bar & Grille has reopened its doors, continuing a 38-year legacy as a locally owned Bozeman favorite. We believe in empowering our team, cutting out corporate red tape, and creating a workplace built on respect, autonomy, and great food.

We’re looking for a Front of House Shift Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and knows how to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Working weekends and closing shifts are required!

What You’ll Do

Act as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts
Open/close the restaurant and ensure smooth daily operations
Lead and support the front-of-house team across all positions
Deliver top-tier guest service—even during high-volume shifts
Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and confidence
Train, coach, and motivate team members
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards
Handle cash, POS systems, and daily reporting accurately

What We’re Looking For

1+ year of leadership experience
2+ years of front-of-house experience (serving, hosting, bartending)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends required)
POS and cash-handling experience

Schedule & Environment

3–5 Manager-on-Duty shifts per week
Additional FOH shifts to maintain full-time hours
Mostly evenings and closing shifts (including weekends)
Active role: standing, walking, lifting, and working with kitchen equipment

Pay & Perks

$23–$25/hour (DOE)

Preferred (but not required)

Food Handler’s Certification
Montana Alcohol Seller Certification
