What You'll Do:

  • Applying and removing dressings, removing sutures/staples, applying and removing casts and splints.

 

  • Exhibits aseptic techniques in dressing change, removal of sutures or staples.

 

  • Responsible for assembling, maintaining, and adjusting orthopedic devices and equipment such as various braces of their specialty.

 

  • Instruct patient in the proper care of casts, dressings, braces, and other support devices as necessary for the individual's treatment.

 

  • Enters charges, required patient information, and other data into the computer in an accurate and timely manner according to departmental guidelines.

 

What Your Qualifications Should Be:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or EMT/Paramedic experience
