About Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH):

Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over 70 years. Part of the Manatee Healthcare System, the hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. The 295-bed hospital with over 800 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight–loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services. Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs.

Provides Employee Health Program functions for Manatee Memorial Hospital employees, volunteers, medical staff, and patients. Processes new hires and performs pre-employment screenings. Coordinates clinic activities, including but not limited to, the annual influenza program, tuberculosis surveillance, respiratory fit compliance, health assessments, needle stick incidents, occupational exposures, medical triage, and follow up for exposure to infectious diseases. Under the direction of the Employee Health Manager, the Employee Health Nurse assists with ensuring all new hires and current employee requirements maintain compliance with OSHA, CMS TJC, and CAP. Promotes wellness across the facility and provides educational materials to employees.

*CORE JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* *(In priority order)*

1	Under the direct supervision of the Employee Health Manager, provides clinical nursing services related to the health and wellness of prospective and current employees to ensure compliance with legal requirements for more than 2,000 hospital employees. Coordinates the day-to-day nursing and office activities of the department.
2	Participates in the annual influenza program, tuberculosis surveillance, respiratory fit compliance, performing new hire health screening assessments, needle stick incidents, occupational exposures, medical triage, and follow-up for exposure to infectious diseases.
3	Provides wellness guidance and education to hospital staff. Establishes and maintains employee health records, assesses initial physiological needs on injured employees and volunteers, and evaluates responses to all procedures and interventions carried out on both a physical and psychological basis.
4	Other duties as assigned that are reasonably within the scope of those enumerated above.
