At Clove Alliance, we're more than just a workplace—we're a team committed to helping survivors of sexual violence find hope, healing, and empowerment. Every day, our staff makes a meaningful difference by providing compassionate, trauma-informed services to children, teens, and adults across Kankakee, Iroquois, and Ford Counties. We believe that diversity strengthens our work, and we're proud to foster an inclusive, supportive workplace where every employee is valued.

We're seeking a licensed or license-eligible therapist (LPC, LSW, LCPC, or LCSW) who is passionate about providing trauma-informed, survivor-centered care to individuals impacted by sexual violence. The Trauma Therapist II provides individual, family, and group counseling to children, adolescents, and adults using evidence-based, trauma-focused treatment approaches. As part of Clove Alliance's counseling team, this position is dedicated to helping survivors build resilience, support healing, and achieve their treatment goals in a compassionate and empowering environment. The position is based in our Kankakee office with occasional travel to our Watseka and Paxton offices to provide services as needed. Availability to work two evenings per week is required.

What You'll Do

  • Provide trauma-informed counseling to children, adolescents, and adults impacted by sexual violence.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload of approximately 18–22 clients.
  • Utilize evidence-based trauma treatment modalities while tailoring care to each survivor's needs.
  • Collaborate with advocates and other departments to ensure coordinated, survivor-centered care.
  • Facilitate therapeutic and support groups.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and client records.
  • Participate in ongoing supervision, professional development, and agency initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Illinois.
  • Strong clinical judgment and crisis intervention skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and culturally responsive care.

We believe that caring for our staff is just as important as caring for our clients. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Up to 24 days of PTO during your first year
  • 14 paid holidays
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
  • Employee wellness resources
  • Ongoing professional development and specialized trauma training
  • Supportive team environment with regular supervision and collaboration

If you're looking for meaningful work where you can make a lasting impact in the lives of survivors, we'd love to hear from you. Clove Alliance is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all employees.

Please note: This position requires attendance at ICASA's in-person training in Springfield, Illinois, August 25–27, 2026. Training expenses, including travel, lodging, and registration, will be covered by Clove Alliance.
