Position Summary
The Warehouse Support Specialist plays a critical role in managing our inventory lifecycle and assisting with basic material preparation. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, and storing equipment, while also utilizing forklifts and metal cutting tools to prepare materials for our HVAC field teams. Â
Core Responsibilities
Receiving & Inventory Control: Receive, unbox, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality. Â
Material Tracking: Document inventory quantities, track on-hand materials, and audit truck inventory levels. Â
Equipment Operation: Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, stage, and organize heavy equipment and materials throughout the warehouse.
Metal Fabrication & Cutting: Use plasma cutters and specialized metal cutting tools to prepare materials and custom ductwork/components according to specifications.
Communication: Proactively communicate equipment statuses, inventory discrepancies, and safety concerns to the Warehouse Manager. Â
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share updates and follow procedures. Â
Ability to take direction, multi-task efficiently, and follow rigid safety standards. Â
Ability and willingness to obtain equipment certifications as needed. Â
Regular, punctual, and reliable attendance. Â
Qualifications
Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. Â
Minimum: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Â
Experience (Preferred): Prior experience operating material handling equipment (forklifts) and utilizing plasma or mechanical metal-cutting tools is highly preferred.
Physical Demands & Environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs repeatedly during work hours. Â
Ability to climb up/down ladders or step stools repeatedly, and sit/stand for long periods. Â
Comfortable working in a wide range of indoor/outdoor temperatures and occasionally in confined spaces (such as crawl spaces or attics). Â
Ability to operate digital tablets, mobile phones, and field equipment. Â
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time between local job sites and customer locations. Â
