Moderate Special Education Teacher (High School)

Position: Full-Time – Specialized Reading Services
School Year: 2026–2027
Location: Braintree, MA 02184
Caseload: 30–38 Students

We are seeking a Moderate Special Education Teacher with expertise in structured literacy to provide specialized reading services at the high school level. This role requires advanced training in the Orton-Gillingham approach to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group reading instruction using Orton-Gillingham methods.
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Moderate Special Education.
  • Orton-Gillingham Credential (completion of both 1-year training and 1-year practicum).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
