Job Summary

Administers, directs, and coordinates designated operational functions for specific facility/hospital working in close collaboration with the Hospital Administrator/CEO. Responsibilities include but are not limited to standardization of operations, identification of efficiencies, financial oversight for designated hospital operations, implementation of performance improvement plans, development of action plans to increase patient, physician and team member engagement in areas of responsibility, and administration of operating plans/goals. Works collaboratively with Hospital Administrator/CEO to develop quality standards for designated facility.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development and implementation entity operational goals and
  • objectives ensuring alignment with facility initiatives to meet the needs of the local health care market.
  • Participates in the strategic planning process in collaboration with the Hospital
  • Administrator/CEO and other members of the facility administrative staff.
  • Implements integration strategies in areas of performance improvement, development of quality measures/indicators for facility, Joint Commission compliance, service excellence
  • (patients, physicians, staff), employee engagement, budgetary accountability, and standardization/consolidation of services.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the entity’s annual operating plan and programs necessary to meet prescribed facility targets established by Hospital
  • Administrator/CEO and approved by designated Vice President for Operations.
  • Analyzes patient satisfaction, physician and employee engagement data for areas of accountability and develops action plans to appropriately address concerns and foster an environment which reinforces cultural alignment with Baptist mission, vision and values.
  • Implements policies/procedures, programs and practices in areas of designation working in close collaboration with facility human resources, information systems, resource management, finance, etc. representatives. Supports standardization through the consistent application of policies/procedures and legal compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Implements work/system processes within designated departments. Collaborates with Hospital Administrator/CEO to develop financial goals and reporting systems which review utilization/standardization, resource management, nursing/non-nursing work
  • Implements marketing/communication plans in conjunction with Hospital Administrator/CEO, Market Leader and Corporate Marketing Division as a means of increasing market share and creating community awareness for areas of operational oversight, when appropriate.
  • Performs other accountabilities as assigned or directed
