About the Role:
Bertie's Restaurant is looking for a warm, welcoming Hostess to be the first face guests see when they walk through our doors! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic front-of-house team in Brandon, FL, where great food meets exceptional hospitality. Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner upon arrival
- Manage reservations and waitlists using seating management systems - Open Table
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Monitor dining room flow and communicate wait times accurately
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth table turnover
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area
Requirements:
- Prior hosting, customer service, or front-of-house restaurant experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, outgoing personality with a guest-first attitude
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player
