- Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect required documentation.
- Maintain and update accurate patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Coordinate communication between patients, medical staff, and other departments.
- Check patients in and out for appointments.
- Process co-payments, balances, and basic billing inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Assist with referrals, authorizations, and follow-up appointments.
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare administrative processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Basic computer skills and experience with scheduling software
