Job DetailsJob Location: Brea - BREA, CA 92821Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 HourlyJob Shift: AnyThe Emergency Vehicle Detailer is responsible for maintaining ambulances in a clean, sanitary, safe, and professional condition. This position performs routine and deep cleaning of ambulance interiors and exteriors, including patient-care areas, equipment surfaces, floors, seats, cabinets, windows, and other vehicle components. The Detailer follows established infection-control and safety procedures to ensure each ambulance is ready for emergency service. Â Essential Duties and Responsibilities Thoroughly clean and disinfect ambulance interiors and patient-care compartments. Clean and sanitize floors, walls, countertops, seats, cabinets, doors, handles, and other high-touch surfaces. Safely clean and disinfect areas contaminated by blood, bodily fluids, or other potentially infectious materials. Wash, dry, wax, and maintain ambulance exteriors. Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, and exterior equipment compartments. Remove trash and properly dispose of contaminated or regulated waste according to company procedures. Clean and organize storage compartments and report missing, damaged, or expired supplies. Inspect the ambulance for visible damage, cleanliness issues, or maintenance concerns and promptly report problems. Follow OSHA, infection-control, hazardous-material, and company safety procedures. Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replaced or reordered. Complete required cleaning, inspection, and vehicle-maintenance documentation. Respond to urgent cleaning requests when an ambulance requires immediate turnaround. Maintain a professional appearance and work cooperatively with EMTs, paramedics, mechanics, and management. Perform other duties as assigned. Â Work Environment The position may involve working inside and outside in varying weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, bodily fluids, unpleasant odors, and potentially infectious materials. Proper PPE and safety procedures must be used at all times. Physical Requirements Frequently standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting. Ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies. Ability to enter and work within confined areas of an ambulance. Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and disinfecting tasks. Performance Standard Ambulances and vehicles must be maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation, appearance, and readiness for service. The Emergency Vehicle Detailer is expected to consistently follow safety and infection-control procedures and promptly report any condition that could affect the vehicle's safe operation or readiness. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous vehicle detailing, janitorial, environmental services, healthcare, or ambulance-cleaning experience preferred. Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and disinfectants. Ability to follow written procedures and infection-control protocols. Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail. Ability to lift, bend, kneel, stand, and work for extended periods. Valid driver's license
