JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to manage day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while aligning with project estimates and scope.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all day-to-day site operations from mobilization through project completionÂ
- Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure productivity, quality, and accountabilityÂ
- Perform limited hands-on field tasks as needed to support crews and ensure complete and timely installation of project deliverablesÂ
- Execute work in accordance with project scope, drawings, specifications, and estimatesÂ
- Track labor hours vs. budgeted hours and report variances to the Project ManagerÂ
- Monitor production rates and ensure alignment with estimated assumptionsÂ
- Provide field-driven production data and performance feedback to the estimating team to support cost database refinement and improved bid accuracyÂ
- Develop and manage short-term lookahead schedules (2–3 weeks)Â
- Coordinate subcontractors, utility providers, inspections, and material deliveriesÂ
- Coordinate directly with utility companies and agencies to ensure alignment, approvals, and schedule complianceÂ
- Proactively identify and resolve field conflicts to avoid delaysÂ
- Attend, coordinate, and schedule pre-construction activities and meetings, ensuring readiness for field executionÂ
- Provide input on logistics, sequencing, and constructability during preconstructionÂ
- Capture time- and date-stamped photos of project progress and upload to Microsoft TeamsÂ
- Maintain daily reports/logs including labor, production, site conditions, and progress updatesÂ
- Track material usage and verify against estimates and takeoffsÂ
- Identify and document scope gaps, field changes, and cost impactsÂ
- Prepare and provide supporting documentation for RFIs and change ordersÂ
- Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding schedule, cost, and field conditionsÂ
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project specificationsÂ
- Conduct inspections, manage punch lists, and drive timely project closeoutÂ
- Enforce jobsite safety compliance in accordance with OSHA and company standardsÂ
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and daily toolbox talksÂ
- Identify and mitigate jobsite hazardsÂ
- Ensure ongoing jobsite housekeeping, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free
- Other dutires as assignedÂ
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent or Field Supervisor in commercial or infrastructure constructionÂ
- Strong understanding of construction estimating, budgets, and cost controlÂ
- Experience managing subcontractors and self-perform crewsÂ
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and takeoffsÂ
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore) and document management tools (e.g., Bluebeam)Â
- Ability to review, mark up, and present PDF drawings and project documentsÂ
- Strong written communication skills, including clear, professional email correspondence with clients, subcontractors, and internal teamsÂ
- OSHA 30 certification (preferred)Â
- Working knowledge of OSHPD/HCAI requirements, including compliance, inspections, documentation, and coordination on regulated projectsÂ
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsÂ
