Responsibilities and Tasks
ServiceÂ
- Answers policy change questions, quotes potential changes for customers and processes changes.  Ensures accurate & processing of changes by companiesÂ
- Answers coverage-related questions for clientsÂ
- Provides coverage documentation for clients, banks or other lenders as neededÂ
- Handles advanced billing questions Â
- Performs policy reviews to ensure no material changes have taken place impacting agency coverage recommendationsÂ
RetentionÂ
- Reviews upcoming client renewals based upon renewal guidelines to target potential clients for re-marketÂ
- Gathers information to remarket targeted clients and work to determine if an alternate carrier is a more appropriate fitÂ
- Quotes and issues rewritten policies, cancels prior coverage and ensures accurate processing of related items with carrier.  Reviews, processes & indexes all forms, documents and photos required to comply with carrier requirements for audit purposesÂ
- Client retention goal of 92% Â
ClaimsÂ
- Accepts claim inquiries from clients and advises client based upon pertinent information such as other parties involved, injuries sustained, damage incurred and deductiblesÂ
- Informs client of potential related claim surchargesÂ
- Files and documents claims with carriers & in agency management systemÂ
- Communicates with company adjusters, & third parties (body shops etc.) as needed acting as a liaison in the event of poor communication between client and adjusterÂ
- In the event of an emergency, offers additional assistance such as scheduling disaster restoration services or other mitigation to minimize potential loss Â
New BusinessÂ
- Serves as initial point of contact for prospective commercial insurance clientsÂ
- Assists in gathering data/scheduling Needs Analysis calls for commercial producersÂ
- Assists producers in marketing risks by preparing and sending Accord Applications and/or entering proposals onto sites of various insurance carriersÂ
- Works together with producer to create professional insurance proposals for client deliveryÂ
- General administrative/client support for commercial producersÂ
- Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills and Abilities
- Significant computer and software training or experience (i.e. Microsoft Office, AMS or Applied Agency Management systems, EZLynx or other comparative rater software)Â
- Must have a desire to pursue professional development, additional licenses and/or designationsÂ
- CIC Designation Â
- Ability to manage up to $3,000,000 commercial premium volume book of businessÂ
- Must be a team player and able to collaborate with insurance and other department team membersÂ
- Comfortable interacting with clients via telephone, email, text, video conferencing or face-to faceÂ
- Must be coachable, goal oriented, grasp concepts quickly, able to work in a fast-paced environment, embrace change and have a strong desire to learn and grow in the insurance industryÂ

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferred
- Two to three years insurance service experience, preferred
- Property & Casualty license is required, or able to obtainÂ
- 3+ years commercial insurance experienceÂ
- CIC designation, preferred
- High School diploma or GED equivalentÂ
