Assistant Program Manager, Healthcare Operations

Bremerton, WA 98314 | Hybrid | Potential Opportunity

 

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for an Assistant Program Manager, Healthcare Operations to support a large healthcare administrative program serving military treatment facilities throughout the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii.  Working closely with the Program Manager, this position will help coordinate daily operations, staffing, employee performance, reporting, workflow management, and administrative requirements supporting patient appointing and referral management services.

 

This opportunity is well suited for an organized, motivated professional who enjoys coordinating people and processes and is ready to continue growing into a healthcare or federal program leadership role.

What You'll Do

  • Assist the Program Manager with daily program operations
  • Help coordinate staffing, schedules, workload coverage, and operational assignments
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, quality, and performance information
  • Track staffing needs, employee absences, training, and operational requirements
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other program documentation
  • Assist with collecting and reviewing performance metrics and operational data
  • Support employee onboarding, training, and implementation of new procedures
  • Help address workflow issues and day-to-day operational concerns
  • Communicate with employees, supervisors, leadership, and other program stakeholders
  • Support consistent workflows across patient appointing, referral management, and related healthcare administrative functions
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives
  • Provide operational support in the Program Manager's absence

Position Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Management, or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible administrative, operations, team lead, or supervisory experience
  • Experience supporting staffing, scheduling, workflow coordination, reporting, or employee performance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and strong technical aptitude
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Access to secure, reliable high-speed internet
  • Ability to successfully complete applicable federal background requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Healthcare administrative or healthcare operations experience
  • Federal government, DoD, or military healthcare experience
  • Experience with patient access, referral management, appointment scheduling, or healthcare call center operations
  • Familiarity with DHA, TRICARE, MHS GENESIS, or similar healthcare systems
