Propulsion Controls Engineering has a current opening for a Environmental, Safety & Health Technician I, with knowledge of OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1910, 1915 and NAVSEA Standard Itemssupporting our Bremerton and Everett, WA locations. 

ESH Technician Job Summary:

An ESH Technician serves as an environmental and safety resource for facility and subcontractor personnel working in a variety of industrial fields associated with ship repair. The areas include: on board sea going vessels and ships; industrial shops; dry docks;, etc., ensuring compliance with established Federal OSHA, State OSHA, NAVSEA Standard Items, and Maritime regulations and/or requirements.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED certificate or equivalent education and experience.

 Experience and Knowledge:

  • Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must possess knowledge of OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1910, 1915 and NAVSEA Standard Items.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Maritime Knowledge (preferred)
  • Knowledge of proper investigating and reporting of incidents.
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to resolve complaints and negotiate with others.
