The Restaurant / Event Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional food & beverage service in the full service restaurant and during tournaments, weddings, corporate outings, banquets, and private events held at the golf course clubhouse. This role ensures a high-quality guest experience by preparing and serving food & beverages efficiently, responsibly, and professionally.Ā Ā

What youāll do:
The Nitty Gritty
Ā·Ā Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to club recipes
Ā·Ā Set up and break down bar areas for events, including stocking supplies and cleaning
Ā·Ā Provide friendly, attentive customer service to all guests and team members
Ā·Ā Verify guest age and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local laws
Ā·Ā Coordinate with servers, event staff, and kitchen team for smooth service
Ā·Ā Track & report spoils, spills, waste
Ā·Ā Assist with banquet setup and event support as needed
Ā·Ā Maintain full knowledge of food & beverage menus, offerings & selections, daily specials, and featured drinks and promotions
ā¢Ā Upsells orders to enhance guest experience and generate additional revenue.
Ā·Ā Operate POS system (TOAST) accurately and handle cash/credit transactions responsibly
Ā·Ā Process payments accurately (cash, credit cards)
Ā·Ā Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area & stations, including restocking supplies
Ā·Ā Monitor guest consumption to ensure responsible alcohol service
Ā·Ā Assist servers with drink orders for dining areas and outdoor patio service
Ā·Ā Support banquet and tournament events hosted at the golf course
Ā·Ā Conduct opening and closing duties, including inventory checks and side work
Ā·Ā Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
The Nitty Gritty
- At least one year of bartending related education, training and/or experience.Ā Golf course experience preferred.
- Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system (TOAST)
- Working knowledge and ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks & food items.
- Working knowledge of the proper operation of all bar equipment.
- Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
- Working knowledge of standard cash handling procedures.
- Current County Food Handlerās License and Class 12 State Mixologist Permit required
- 21+ years of age
- Ability to work A.M. or P.M. shifts including weekends & holidays. Open availability is preferred.
- Position is āon-callā status and weekly hours will vary depending on business needs & demand.Ā This role is expected to a year-round position.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
