EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Bilingual Administrative Assistant to join the Suffolk Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities (TASC) Program. Salary: $23/ hour Schedule: 9AM-5PM, Monday- Friday Location: 320 Carleton Ave. in Central Islip, NY What drives the core purpose of this job: The Bilingual Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Supervisor and Program Director in coordinating program operations for the TASC program What are the key responsibilities: Assist Director and Supervisor in coordinating daily operations of the program Answer, screen and direct phone calls and perform receptionist function at program office. Provide Spanish translation services for the office as needed including Spanish structured assessments with participants. Perform typing and general office duties. Collect, review and input client admissions, rejections and pending cases into databases and assist Program Director and Supervisor in compiling monthly reports. Oversee office supplies, maintain inventory, prepare purchase orders/invoice for Program Director review and perform administrative duties as needed. Perform prescreening of potential clients and set client intake appointment schedules Oversee on and offsite storage files. Assist the Case Management Unit with all aspects of case coordination and preparation for monthly audit. Maintain Audit Log. Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration. What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role: HS Diploma or educational equivalent required, degree preferred. Minimum of one-year work experience in either human services or alcohol/substance abuse programs required. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Must have pleasant phone manner, good communication skills, both oral and written as well as the ability to work cooperatively with treatment providers and court personnel. Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
