SUMMARYĀ Ā
Mortenson is currently seeking a passionate Safety Manager I who can interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.⯠The Safety Manager will provide management, leadership, direction, and support within Mortensonās Zero Injury Safety program for multiple project teams and construction sites. The Safety Manager may also have supervisory responsibility to one or more safety professionals.āÆĀ

RESPONSIBILITIESĀ
Provide safety oversight, leadership, and direction in the implementation of the Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sitesĀ
Lead project management teams in developing site-specific electrical safety programs and activitiesĀ
Identify training needs and conduct safety orientation and electrical training programs, including train-the-trainer sessionsĀ
Review safety submittals and attend preconstruction and preparatory meetings with subcontractorsĀ
Provide professional direction and mentorship to Safety, Senior Safety Engineers, and CoordinatorsĀ
Oversee documentation, tracking, and analysis of all Safety, Injury, and Hazard statistics, trend analyses, and OSHA reportsĀ
Conduct work area safety auditsĀ
Conduct or assist with major incident analysisĀ
Monitor and review subcontractor activities for safety concernsĀ

QUALIFICATIONSĀ
Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalentĀ
Minimum six years of construction safety experienceĀ
ORĀ
High school diploma, CHST Certification, OSHA 500, and minimum of 10 years of continuous construction experience leading crews and planning workĀ Ā
At least six years as a dedicated construction safety professional managing project safety programs, conducting/reviewing hazard analyses, developing controls, conducting safety training, and planning work activities (or equivalent experience)Ā
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferredĀ
Current driver's licenseĀ
Detail orientation to organize and manage multiple project tasksĀ
Ability to work in Microsoft Office and pertinent safety-related software programsĀ
Positive and professional attitude, strong customer service skillsĀ
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesĀ
Effective public speaking and presentation skillsĀ
Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skillsĀ
Active listening skills and effective communication, openness to diverse input and feedbackĀ
Ability to travel up to 100%Ā

The base pay range for this role is $100,100 MIN - $150,200 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL ā 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR ā 10%, Washington, D.C. ā 12.5%).Ā

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individualās knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.Ā This position is eligible for Mortensonās incentive plan.Ā
