Job DetailsJob Location: Maine - Brewer, ME 04412Salary Range: $19.25 - $24.25 HourlyLooking for a new opportunity? Somic America is seeking a motivated, dependable team member to join our Shipping & Receiving Team. If you enjoy staying active, working in a fast-paced environment, and playing an important role in getting our products safely to our customers, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Do As a Shipping & Receiving Operator, you'll help ensure materials and finished products move safely, accurately, and on time throughout our facility. Daily responsibilities include: Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks Prepare customer shipments, including staging, wrapping, strapping, and labeling Verify shipments for accuracy before they leave the facility Receive raw materials and maintain accurate inventory records using AIM Transport materials and finished goods throughout the plant Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely Maintain FIFO inventory practices Process shipping paperwork, including FedEx, UPS, export, and service part shipments Inspect and sort returnable packaging Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe Shipping & Receiving area Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Has a strong attention to detail Works safely and follows standardized work procedures Enjoys working independently and as part of a team Communicates effectively with coworkers and supervisors Is comfortable learning computer systems such as AIM, Microsoft Excel, and Word Takes pride in accuracy and organization   QualificationsQualifications Basic computer skills Ability to read shipping documents and work instructions Strong math and problem-solving skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly (75 lbs. occasionally) Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift Why This Role Matters Shipping & Receiving is the final checkpoint before our products reach our customers.
