Job DetailsJob Location: Brewer - Brewer, ME 04112Salary Range: $16.75 - $18.65 HourlyTravel Percentage: Up to 100%Job Shift: DayCatholic Charities Maine Education Services for Blind & Visually Impaired Children (ESBVIC) is looking to hire a Driver/Reader for the Brewer area. ESBVIC is a statewide program that provides assessment, instruction, and consultation to blind and visually impaired children birth through 21, their parents, and school personnel. About the Role: The Driver-Reader provides transportation to staff who are visually impaired or otherwise unable to drive and assists with reading and other visual tasks for which the staff person requires visual assistance. This position is roughly 12-20 hours per week. Salary: $16.75 – $18.65 per hour. Actual starting salary contingent with experience/qualifications. Benefits: Mileage reimbursement 401k Agency Contribution All employees earn Earned Time Position start date is August 20, 2026     QualificationsQualifications: Experienced motor vehicle driver with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Maintain a safe and reliable vehicle and show proof of vehicle insurance and current valid vehicle inspection.  Ability to read reports, letters, charts, and articles. Minimum high school diploma or GED.
