Position Summary The LPN provides compassionate and competent nursing care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse (RN) and interdisciplinary team. This position involves delivering direct health services to individuals with developmental disabilities, overseeing medical records, assisting with medication training, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards. You’ll play a key role in supporting our mission — promoting health, dignity, and independence for every individual we serve. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and monitor clients’ health status Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to support treatment plans Maintain accurate nursing documentation, charts, and reports Participate in treatment planning meetings and provide health education to clients and staff Ensure all medical procedures and recordkeeping comply with NJDHS and agency policies Report and document unusual incidents per Division Circular #14 and EIHAB policies Participate in inspections, audits, and investigations as required Stay current with best practices and developments in nursing and behavioral healthcare QualificationsQualifications Minimum 21 years of age Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (NJ) Current New Jersey LPN License in good standing Current CPR certification required Valid NJ Driver’s License with 3 years of clean driving history Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to read, write, and perform basic math Computer literacy (Microsoft Word & Excel preferred) Working knowledge of principles and practices in developmental and behavioral healthcare Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and accuracy Physical & Other Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and assist clients as needed Completion of Crisis Management Training (provided by EIHAB) Must successfully complete required DDD training modules, Danielle’s Law, HIPAA, and CPR/First Aid within 90 days of hire Must pass background and Central Registry checks Why Join EIHAB?
