About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Connecticut, starting June 2, 2025. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services in a Multi-Specialty Clinic setting. Responsibilities include managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol, conducting well visits and check-ups, and treating common ailments like coughs, colds, and flu. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with specific hours to be determined. Proficiency with eClinicalWorks EMR is required. This opportunity offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:Â
• Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients of all agesÂ
• Manage chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterolÂ
• Conduct well visits, annual check-ups, and preventive care screeningsÂ
• Diagnose and treat common illnesses such as coughs, colds, and fluÂ
• Perform physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic testsÂ
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plansÂ
• Educate patients on disease prevention and health maintenanceÂ
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomesÂ
• Accurately document patient encounters using eClinicalWorks EMRÂ
• Stay current with best practices in family medicine and primary care
