Richman Property Services, Inc. (RPS) is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. Are you a community-inspired, passion-driven individual with a can-do attitude? If so, we want you on our team!
Position: Maintenance Technician 1
Location: Crescent Crossing, our 264-unit affordable residential community in Bridgeport, CT 06608
Key Qualifications:
- Two or more years of maintenance operations experience in a multi-family residential communities
- EPA I & II or EPA Universal is required for this position, however if you possess all the skills, experience and drive RPS is looking for, we may sponsor/pay for your EPA I & II within your first 75-days on the job. Full details will be discussed during the interview process
- Experience with Yardi property management software products
- Valid/Active driver's license is required (and verified) for this position

- Competitive base hourly rate of pay, automatic quarterly (every 3 months) pay increases following initial 90-days of service, monthly personal cell phone allowance of $40.00 per month, eligible for end of year discretionary bonus

Responsibilities:
- Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
- Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
- Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
- Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
- Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
- Seeking educational opportunities for personal growth and development
- Assist in property preventative maintenance plan
- Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
- Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime
Requirements:
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper
- Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
- Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Skills & Certifications:
- EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license, strongly preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
- Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
