Job DetailsJob Location: BRIDGEPORT, WV 26330Position Type: Full-TimeJob Description:  Human Resources Assistant Reports To:  Director of Human Resources/Payroll Job Summary:  Have overall responsibility for the HR and Programmatic Compliance functions as it relates to all staff, including employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, development, implementation as well as administration of Odyssey’s human resources programs, employment policies, personnel record-keeping, workers compensation and safety issues, training and workforce development and compliance with HR laws and regulations. Essential Functions: Prepares and maintain accurate personnel records, files and reports. Manages reporting on Licensure, PPD, Outstanding Documentation and Annual In-Service Training Communicates effectively, verbally and written, to all levels of staff and management, outside officials and agencies, expressing ideas and instructions clearly and concisely. Compiles HR data and analyzes complex information, researches and develops solutions to complex issues. Advises on employment statues, rules, regulations and policies affecting staff. Assists in development and implementation of human resources programs and policies and periodically assists in updating policies and employee handbooks and benefit packages. Maintains all personnel files, records, background investigation results and other personnel records and ensures Odyssey is in compliance with all laws and regulations and demonstrates “best practices” in regard to personnel information management.  Assists in handling of employment-related inquiries, such as employment verification requests and unemployment compensation inquiries and proceedings.  Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources/Payroll. QualificationsQualifications: Basic computer skills, including MS Outlook, EXCEL and Word. Study and apply new information, and take initiative. Excellent time management Ability to exercise excellent judgment when making decisions independently. Ability to hold the highest degree of confidentiality with all sensitive information. Willingness to further education as required. Ability to work a scheduled shift and be flexible as needed to meet the needs of the company. Excellent organizational skills Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
