Our Laborer (Raker) position offers the opportunity to explore many career paths in asphalt and paving industry, all the way up to supervision. Many of our Supervisors and Managers started as laborers.

The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Laborer (Raker) to work at our Ace-Saginaw Paving Operations. The Laborer performs various manual labor tasks on the asphalt crew.

Responsibilities

The Laborer will:

Perform manual labor around asphalt and paving operations (i.e. shoveling, raking, skid steer)
Report any noticeable malfunctions or damage to equipment
Assist with site clean up
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

Basic Mechanical aptitude
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to push, pull, and/or pry
Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time and work in an environment with noise and temperature variations
Work outside for an extended period of time and ability to work at elevated/low temperatures
Ability to read, write English
Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle
