About our EMS Network:

American Ambulance Service, Inc, is a subsidiary of the Hartford HealthCare EMS Network, a comprehensive, multidisciplinary EMS system which includes licensed EMS agencies, hospital – based paramedic response resources, air-medical response resources, education and research, and hospital-based coordinators and medical directors. Our headquarters is located in Norwich, CT and we have additional offices in Griswold, Ledyard, and at Foxwoods Resort Casino.  American Ambulance provides a full range of emergent and non-emergent medical transportation services by highly trained professionals to ensure safe, quick, and compassionate patient care.

Your Impact:

The Transfer-Only Paramedic is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate, and safe medical care during interfacility, hospital-to-hospital, and specialized medical transports originating from St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. This role focuses exclusively on non-emergent and scheduled patient transfers, ensuring continuity of care while working collaboratively with hospital staff, EMS partners, and receiving facilities.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid CT Driver's License
• Valid State of Connecticut Paramedic License
• Valid Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider CPR certification
• Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advance Life Support certifications
