QC Sampling Technician

Virbac Animal Health is seeking a QC Sampling Technician to join our Quality Control team. This position is expected to inspect/sample incoming raw materials which includes components, printed material and ingredients. In addition, manage ingredients and finished product retains.

Qualified candidates must possess a High school diploma with some college coursework preferred. Knowledge of regulations, GMPs and chemical safety is required.

Area of responsibility 1: [Sample / Inspect incoming raw materials (components, ingredients and printed
material)]


Main activities
1. Perform sampling and inspection following SOPs, specifications and cGMP requirements.
2. Document sampling per GDP requirements.
3. Identify the sampling plan based on the ingredient specification.
4. Label and deliver samples with appropriate paperwork/documentation to the QC lab for testing.
5. Clean area as specified.
6. Pull samples for retesting as required.
7. Inspect printed materials against approved standards and receiving reports


Expected results: Raw materials are inspected/sampled in a timely manner to meet production needs.
Documentation of activities is current and available as evidence of compliance.

Area of responsibility 2: [Label Control - Printed Material Issuance and Return]


Main activities
1. Issue printed material to production as required per procedure for label accountability.
2. Document per GDP requirements.
3. Account for returned printed material per procedure.
4. Work closely with production and QA to resolve any issuance and return discrepancies.


Expected results: Labels are controlled compliantly.
Area of responsibility 3: [Retain Sample Management]
Main activities
1. Collect and manage finished goods and ingredient retain samples.
2. Store and maintain inventory utilizing the inventory database.
3. Maintain inventory per the retention period.

Expected results: All required retain samples are available, organized, current and accurate.

Area of responsibility 4: [Basic responsibilities]


Main activities
1. Document according to Good Documentation Practices.
2. Perform duties per SOPs.
3. Report any discrepancies/anomalies to QC management.
4. Own responsibilities and projects.
5. Work closely with other departments.
6. Keep work areas clean, organized and maintained.
7. Maintain equipment in a calibrated state.
8. Initiate and investigate deviations per procedure.


Expected results: Open and clear communication between departments and management


Profile
Requirements (Diploma and experience)

1. High School Diploma; Some college coursework preferred.
2. 0-3 years experience in related field


Skills
1. Knowledge of regulations, GMPs and chemical safety is required. Will be required to move packages
weighing a maximum of 50 lbs, and operate a walk-behind pallet jack. Must be able to wear a respirator.
