Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Specialist/Food Safety Technician
Virbac Animal Health is seeking a Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Specialist - External to join our Quality Assurance team. This position will be responsible for conducting all external Quality Assurance functions, which includes assessing Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), applicable regulations (including, but not limited to, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and European Medicines Agency (EMA), and relevant company policies. Furthermore, this role will provide Quality Assurance oversight for Virbac material suppliers, service providers, and contract laboratories as required. Given the requirement for international travel, the successful candidate must possess or be able to quickly obtain a valid passport.
Qualified candidates should possess experience in the following areas:
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Quality Assurance Auditing and/or Engineering
Batch Record review for drug products
Experience with regulatory bodies (FDA, USDA, EMA)
Food/Feed Manufacturing
Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification
Food Safety Plans
Location Requirement:
Strong preference for candidates situated in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
