Position:Ā Lab Coordinator
ReportsĀ to: Lab Supervisor and Lab & Shipping Manager
Responsible to oversee the receipt, suitability, and routing of all lab samples
Primary Duties andĀ Responsibilities:Ā Including but not limited to the following:
ā¢Ā PackingĀ andĀ shipping of outside testĀ samples.
ā¢Ā Communicate with inter-departmentĀ staff toĀ troubleshootĀ issues.
ā¢Ā Receive andĀ processĀ incoming samples.
ā¢Ā Review,Ā inspect,Ā and documentĀ inboundĀ loads.Ā
⢠ Prioritize product workflow on the production floor.
ā¢Ā Traceability and investigation regardingĀ any sampleĀ movement.
ā¢Ā Prepare test report andĀ communicateĀ results.
ā¢Ā UseĀ computerĀ scannersĀ and/or software to input test results.Ā
ā¢Ā Other dutiesĀ asĀ assigned by management.
EducationĀ and Eligibility:
⢠ High school diploma or equivalent.
ā¢Ā MinimumĀ of 6 months experience workingĀ in a mechanicalĀ testing lab preferred.
Preferred Skills:
ā¢Ā ExperienceĀ with various workĀ cellsĀ at theĀ mechanicalĀ testing lab.
⢠ Knowledge of various test paths in the lab.
ā¢Ā KnowledgeĀ ofĀ time constraints atĀ variousĀ work cells in the lab
ā¢Ā Ability and familiarity withĀ sample size,Ā orientation,Ā andĀ geometry.
ā¢Ā KnowledgeĀ ofĀ materialĀ properties.
Ā Ability to safely move aroundĀ andĀ workĀ in an industrial plantĀ environment for extendedĀ periodĀ ofĀ time includingĀ frequent bending, stooping, andĀ occasionalĀ exposure to extreme heat
Ability toĀ stand for extended periodĀ of timeĀ with dexterity related toĀ handling/manipulating small metalĀ samples andĀ accessories to testĀ them.
Occasionally lift up toĀ 50lbs.
Ability to workĀ irregular hours andĀ extended hours as required and maintain job performance standards.
Maintain good personal hygiene and professionalĀ appearance.
