General Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Planning Technician to join our Production Control team. This role supports job creation, production scheduling, inventory coordination, and cross-functional communication to ensure efficient production flow and on-time delivery. The Planning Technician works closely with production, purchasing, warehouse, and quality teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and has a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.

Responsibilities:

Create and release jobs based on ERP system demand and production requirements.
Assist with daily ERP system transactions and clerical tasks.
Develop and maintain production schedules to support on-time delivery.
Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to ensure material availability.
Manage and track manufacturing processes that involve outside vendor operations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and production processes.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: Internship or prior experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
