Education:  High School diploma with certificates, or related field or the equivalent combination of education, functional training, and experience required.

Position Overview:

The Quality Inspector will ensure products meet quality, safety, and reliability standards by inspecting materials, testing, and documenting defects. They interpret blueprints and use metrology tools to validate that all parts and assemblies meet the necessary requirements. Key duties include checking, testing, and verifying in-process and finished goods against industry standards like ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.



Responsibilities:

  • Inspections: Conducting in-process, final, and incoming material inspections.
  • Measurement: Using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, height gauges, etc.
  • Documentation: Reporting on inspection data, supplier documentation review, nonconformances, and quality issues.
  • Calibration: Maintaining and calibrating testing equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensuring products meet company, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborating with teams to identify root causes and suggest improvements.



Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma, with technical certificates, or associate degrees in quality control or engineering preferred or related field or equivalent combination of education.
  • Understanding of blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with gauges, microscopes, and, in some cases, advanced equipment.
  • Attention to Detail. High capability to spot, document, and analyze product defects.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools.
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS): Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 17025.
  • Ability to work in team environments and report anomalies to supervisors.
