Barista/ Deli Artist

Position Overview

We are seeking a Barista/ Deli Sandwich Artist to oversee our sandwich station at our café located at the U of M Brighton Specialty Center. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, stays calm under pressure, and leads by example in both service and execution.

This position is approximately 20-30  hours per week, with early morning shifts starting at 7:00 AM. Most weekends and major holidays -are off. Overtime may be available for special events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwiches according to company specifications and quality standards
• Lead execution of high-volume sandwich service during peak hours
• Prep ingredients for daily service and catering (slice deli meats, prepare house-made salads, vegetable prep, etc.)
• Prepare specialty coffee beverages (Starbucks-style drinks)
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards at all times
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service
• Support and assist team members as needed
• Answer customer questions and ensure a positive guest experience
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and consistency
